 1. Pricing Overview

Convious offers a wide range of pricing options. You can:

  • Set fixed prices
  • Use dynamic pricing that changes according to demand or other factors
  • Adjust prices for specific days or times easily with pricing exceptions
  • Offer discounts for purchasing multiple items with discount rules

Having different pricing strategies is good for an amusement park because it helps attract more visitors and make more money.

  • Appealing to Different Budgets: People have different amounts of money they're willing to spend. With different pricing options, more people can afford to visit the park. Additionally, by showcasing all available discounts directly on your website, visitors learn they don't need to search for deals from other sellers.
  • Better Visitor Experience: By offering lower prices during less busy times and higher prices during peak times, the park can balance visitor attendance more evenly. This leads to shorter lines, less crowded pathways, and a better experience for everyone.
  • Maximizing Revenue: Some days or times may be busier than others. By adjusting prices based on demand, the park can make more money during peak times.
  • Flexibility: Different pricing strategies allow the park to adapt to changes in the market or in visitor behavior.

Overall, having different pricing strategies helps you cater to a wider range of visitors and make the most out of your business.

We're here to help you set up these pricing strategies, starting with the default price setup.

2. Setup Instructions

1. First thing first, log into your Convious Control Panel.

2. Once you're in, look in your left-side menu for the 'Products' tab, under the 'Product' section.

Click the arrow before the categories to expand and collapse the groups

You can find the pricing settings clicking the tag icon on the product configuration.

3. Static pricing

The default setting is static pricing, meaning the price stays the same every day unless there are exceptions. Just provide your Regular price to start.

Additionally, you can set the Gate price which will be shown struck-through next to the main price in the Dated or Undated checkout flow. This encourages people to grab the deal when shopping online. This is how it would look like on checkout:

4. Dynamic pricing

Achieve your goals by using Dynamic Pricing. Simply switch on the Dynamic Pricing toggle.

Explore different price variations and see how prices change in different scenarios. To set your own ranges, choose 'Custom' and enter your minimum and maximum values.

Not sure where to start with dynamic pricing? We've prepared a few default options for you to try:

  • Low Variation: Choose this if you're curious about dynamic pricing but not yet confident how it would work in your setup. Prices will vary only up to 5% from your regular price. This option has minimal impact on your business goals.

  • Medium Variation: A variation of +/- 12% from your regular price is the sweet spot we've identified. Prices don't fluctuate too much, but you'll see a noticeable impact on your business goals.

  • High Variation: Use the full potential of dynamic pricing if you have a tested strategy. Higher price differences encourage visitors to fill empty spots and convert now, significantly impacting your business goals.

  • Custom Variation: If you're experienced with pricing configuration and want tailored pricing for your business, choose Custom Variation to set your own price ranges and configurations.

Style Prices

Next, you can style your pricing by rounding to your chosen price step or making the price more appealing by using 'Charm pricing'.

With charm pricing, prices are reduced from a round number by one cent, leaving them to be perceived much differently. For example, a price of 20.00 would be turned into 19.99.

You can also set a Gate price. Combined with the 'Gate price on visit date' toggle on the Dynamic pricing page, this will make your online prices match the box office prices for the same-day visit.

Keep in mind when you use custom ranges if your minimum and maximum prices don't match the styling rule, they will stay the same. For example, if you set a minimum price of 20.05 euros but choose to round prices to the nearest 50 cents, the minimum price will stay 20.05 euros and won't be rounded.

Note: If you are using Dynamic prices, use the Calendar checkout flow for full visibility of prices

If you choose Dated or Undated flow, only the Regular price will be shown to avoid surprising users with changing prices for different dates.
