The Foundation: Session-Based Tracking
It is important to understand that all our metrics are session-based, not visitor-based.
What is a session? A session is a single visit to your website or checkout.
How long does it last? A session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.
Example: If a visitor browses your site at 10:00 AM, leaves, and returns at 10:45 AM, this counts as two sessions. However, if they stay active on the site for an hour, it remains one single session.
No Double Counting: Within a single session, a visitor is only counted once for each step of the funnel, no matter how many times they refresh the page.

1. Website Conversion Rate
This metric tells you what percentage of your total website traffic ends up making a purchase.
How it’s calculated: (Converted Sessions / Total Website Sessions)
Website Sessions: We count every real interaction with your website. We use distinct Session IDs to ensure that we capture all traffic accurately. This provides a consistent and honest "top-of-the-funnel" number.
The Goal: To measure the overall effectiveness of your website in driving revenue.
2. Checkout Conversion Rate
This metric focuses specifically on the visitors who actually "stepped into the store" by interacting with your checkout.
How it’s calculated: (Converted Sessions / Total Checkout Sessions)
Checkout Sessions: A checkout session is only counted when a user actively interacts with the checkout components. We no longer count "passive" loads (where someone might just accidentally trigger the checkout in the background). This makes the metric a much more meaningful reflection of true user intent.
The Goal: To measure how well your checkout flow performs once a visitor has decided they want to buy a ticket.
3. Converted Sessions
This is the final step of the funnel. A session is marked as "Converted" as soon as a successful payment is confirmed. The logic for this remains the most stable part of our reporting, as it is tied directly to your actual revenue.
💡 An Example of the Funnel in Action
Imagine 100 visitors come to your website today:
Website Sessions (100): All 100 people are counted because they browsed your site.
Checkout Sessions (20): Out of those 100, only 20 people actually clicked on a ticket and started selecting a date or quantity. (The other 80 just looked at your homepage or info pages).
Converted Sessions (10): Out of those 20 people in the checkout, 10 completed their payment.
The Results:
Website Conversion Rate: 10% (10 out of 100)
Checkout Conversion Rate: 50% (10 out of 20)
Why do these definitions matter? By using stricter, interaction-based definitions, we ensure your data isn't "inflated" by accidental clicks or background activity. This gives you a clear, reliable baseline to measure the success of your marketing campaigns and pricing strategies.
