In case you have products that should always come with another product or want to implement service fees for free products that visitors can not deselect, mandatory and pre-selected upsell is what you need.
Mandatory pre-selected upsells are products - upsells - that are automatically added when a certain product is selected at a price determined by you. This upsell can not be deselected as it is mandatory when purchasing the initially intended product.
Examples may be:
Product: 3D-short-film experience
Upsell: Free 3D-glasses
or
Product: Free children day ticket
Upsell: 1 € service fee
Setting up the mandatory pre-selected upsell
Great news: To set up this product, you can follow the same process as with the regular product set up - no need to learn something entirely new. All you got to do is set up the upsell in your Control Panel
However, there are two significant differences:
1. You do not need to assign a product list.
2. You need to email us to let us know to which products you want your new upsell be connected to = to be mandatorily pre-selected for.
Please send us an email to supporty@convious.com with the following information:
- The Upsell's name & product ID.
- The Names & product IDs of the products you want the upsell to be connected to.
