What Is Global Search?
Global Search is a search bar that works anywhere in your Control Panel. Press a shortcut, type what you're looking for, and jump straight to it: a page, a pre-filtered list, a single order, or a report tab.
It replaces menu-digging. You no longer need to remember which section a record lives in.
Why Use Global Search?
Find records instantly - search an order number, customer email or barcode from anywhere, without opening the right page first.
Skip the navigation - type the name of any page and land on it directly.
Get to a filtered list in one step - "orders bounced today" opens Orders already filtered to today's visitors with bounced emails.
Forgiving of typos - partial words and small spelling mistakes still find the right result.
Where to Find It
Press Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows) from any screen in the Control Panel. You can also open it from the trigger in the sidebar, below the account selector.
How to Use It
Step 1 - Open the search bar
Press Cmd + K / Ctrl + K.
Start typing. Results filter as you type.
Use the arrow keys to highlight a result, then press Enter. Or click it.
Tip: Your recent searches and recently opened views appear as soon as you open the bar, so repeat checks are one click.
Step 2 - Search for what you need
You can search four kinds of things:
Any page, by name - Products, Settings, overview pages.
Filtered views - Orders · Open, Orders · Canceled, Orders · Visiting today.
Individual records - orders, memberships, products, product lists, group bookings, barcodes.
Reports - type a report name to open it, or go straight to a specific tab inside it.
Step 3 - Narrow the results
When records match your query, type filters appear at the top: All, Orders, Memberships, Products, Product lists, Group bookings. Select one to see only that type.
How It Works
Results are grouped: pages and filtered views under Pages, records under their own type heading.
Records show useful detail inline, such as an order's reference, customer email, status and date.
You only ever see results you have permission to see, always within your own account.
The result count appears at the bottom of the list.
If nothing matches your query, the search hands off to Neo, the Control Panel chatbot.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an AI assistant? No. Global Search finds records and takes you to pages. A conversational assistant that answers questions and performs actions is planned for a later release.
Why can't I see the search bar yet? It's being rolled out gradually. If it isn't available in your account, it's on its way.
Some pages look slightly different. Why? A few pages, including products and barcodes, are being adjusted to work well with search.
